Guten Tag!
May I introduce myself: my name is De De å¾·å¾·. I am happy that I have won the design contest. Thanks a lot to the teams of all Goethe language centers in China.
I am still in Germany but I am going on a journey to China. I have always wished to visit this country and my dream goes true! People in my home country know me very well because I am extremely endued with languages. You know, many parrots can speak but they only imitate the language. On the contrary I have learned to speak in an appropriate way and I believe German is one of the most beautiful languages of the world. I like my home country but sometimes I feel a little bit bored there and I am considering living abroad.
Since I was a baby parrot I have been dreaming about China. It is a fascinating country with a long history, rich culture and delicious food. I have been dreaming of going for a walk on the Great Wall, learning Chinese, visiting pandas. And after many years I have got the chance!
It is a long way to China but it’s worth it. I am looking forward to meet a lot of interesting people at the world exhibition EXPO 2010 in Shanghai and during my whole journey through China. I want to learn everything about China. I have already so many questions to be answered.
But I also would like to introduce my country Germany to Chinese people and hope that I have answers to all questions about Germany. As you know I have been chosen as the official mascot of the Goethe language centers in China and I would like to make the German language and culture more popular in China. Languages bring people together and eliminate barriers between cultures.
Once when I will be back to Germany I will share many unforgettable experiences with my friends and tell them about all the adventures that I have had in China.
