On the 7th of December the SLZ celebrated X-mas on it's premises in Julu Lu. The event had been preceded by an afternoon activity introducing the preparation of traditional German cookies guided by 2 skilled teachers of the SLZ. The seminar was met with great enthusiasm, and the delicious biscuits were all finished up in no time!

More than 100 participants of the language centres courses showed up and celebrated together with the teachers and staff of the school. It was an opportunity to, aside from learning German, take a glance at German culture through this way of experiencing first hand the most important festivity of the Germans! Various games awaited the guests and amused everybody.

Firstly 3 x-mas trees, installed on every floor of the language center, were decorated by the guests in a time race; the winners were awarded with a price. Subsequently the participants had to name the German expressions for typical moments around Christmas time using pictures for help; in another room, a puzzle game based on the biblical nativity story amused the guests. The task was to arrange the cut sentences in the right order to produce the text of the story's beginning!

The undisputed climax of the evening was the performance of the play "The King's New Clothes" by the theatre circle of the language centre, directed by Karin Benkelmann. The visitors were enthusiastic about the professional and also humorous staging of the piece!
